John Hammond is the owner of InGen and created Jurassic Park. He wanted people to be able to see real dinosaurs and didn't care much about the money. When the power goes off and many people are killed he finally realises that he had made a mistake. He decided not to open Jurassic Park to the public.

Alan Grant is a paleontologist working on a Velociraptor dig. When Hammond offers to fund his dig for three more years if he'll come to his island for the weekend, Grant happily accepts. When Grant finds out that they're cloning dinosaurs he's in awe at first, but he later realises the danger in what is being done. When the power goes out and the dinosaurs excape, he has to help John Hammond's grandchildren get to safety. Grant doesn't like kids, but after they get off the island his feelings towards them changed.

Ellie is a paleobotanist working with Grant's team. She comes along with him to take a tour of Jurassic Park. When the power goes out she has to help the others get things back in order so they can get off the island before it's too late.

Ian is a know-it-all mathematician who doesn't believe that Jurassic Park could work from the start. His theorys of chaos proved to be true when the dinosaurs excaped. Malcolm is disliked by Hammond, and seems to be a bit prideful. Malcolm is badly injured, but still keeps his sarcastic attitude.

Gennaro is an annoying lawyer who only wants to make money. He doesn't like the idea of Jurassic Park until he reaches the island and sees how much money the investors could make. When the Tyrannosaur excapes he panics and leaves the children alone in the car.

Grandson of John Hammond, Tim is fascinated by dinosaurs. He's surprised when he gets to the island and finds his idol, Dr. Alan Grant, is there.

Lex is the granddaughter of John Hammond. She came along with her brother Tim during the first tour. When things went wrong, she was lost on the island along with Grant and Tim. She was very skilled with computers, and eventually got the Jurassic Park systems back online.
