Or plant thingy... I dont know, But its definately a new speices of fauna!
We discovered a tree about a couple months ago or so. Didnt look anything like any other types of plants.
So they had me do a thin section of it to determine what it was. And to our wonderful find, It is a new tree/plant thingy! woo!

And if it dosent sound like much to care about, heres this.
There have been only a handful(around 30 or so) types of fauna from the end of the cretacous to the permian that have been found. Thats not a lot seen how
there is thousands to millions of plant life on earth today, and still some that still have yet to be found!
So finding this new type of tree/plant is very VERY rare! and way exciting!

Here is some pics I took through the microscope.

As you can tell its got some polaroid type thing goin on in there, which is... cool

And me, cause I'm ubber excited about this! I get an A in my pre-life class now! yess!! :D

true, plant fossils are indeed rare (by the way it's flora, not fauna)
Cool find (Thin sections always gave me a bloody headache though)

Start lobbying to call it The Whomping Willow.
They are a "Jurassic Park" site that does not discuss JP? How is this possible?! Surely it's a joke...A CRUEL PRACTICAL JOKE!
